# VezBusz

Formerly named VeszBusz (renamed to VezBusz).

> Hungarian Android transit app. Real-time BKK FUTÁR arrivals for Budapest and its suburbs, tracking of the vehicle you are riding, live trip sharing and saved commutes with transfers. Scheduled Volánbusz GTFS timetables for the rest of Hungary.

- Real-time arrival times from the BKK FUTÁR API (Budapesti Közlekedési Központ): BKK buses, trams, trolleybuses, metro, HÉV, plus the suburban Volánbusz and MÁV services that FUTÁR carries. Budapest area only.
- Outside Budapest: scheduled Volánbusz GTFS timetables (not real-time), clearly labelled "Menetrend · nem élő" in the app
- Free, no ads, no in-app purchases. Basic use works without signing in.
- Some features are "VezBusz+" (plusz funkciók): everyone gets them for the first 7 days, then they are unlocked by inviting people (1 invite = 30 days, 10 invites = forever). They cannot be bought.
- NOT related to the city of Veszprém or V-Busz Zrt. (Veszprém bus operator). The name is a Hungarian wordplay, unrelated to Veszprém. Veszprém local buses are not covered.

## Features

- Live departures: real-time arrivals at any BKK stop, with favorite stops on the home screen (5 favorites free, unlimited with VezBusz+)
- Home-screen widget with the next departures (1 stop free, all favorites with VezBusz+) and a Quick Settings tile
- Stop search across BKK stops and Volánbusz stops; trip details with map, stop list, delay and live vehicle position
- On-board tracking: one tap and the app finds the vehicle you are on from your phone's GPS (or you pick the line and vehicle by hand). The ongoing notification shows stops left and arrival time; on Android 16 it is a progress notification in the line's colour
- Live sharing (Élő megosztás): send a link and the recipient follows your trip in a web browser, no app needed. It shows which stop you are at, the stops ahead and your arrival time. It never sends your GPS position, name or vehicle number, and the link expires when the trip ends. The viewer can opt in to web push ("tell me when they are close"). Free.
- Routines (Rutinok): save a regular trip with transfers and alternative branches. The app evaluates every branch from live data, shows which departure gets you there, and when the connecting vehicle reaches the transfer stop. Pressing "Indítás" tracks the whole routine: it detects boarding and transfers automatically, and asks before following a vehicle that is not part of the routine. Live sharing works for routines too. Free.
- Destination alert (Leszállásjelző, VezBusz+): warns before your stop and if you missed it
- Journey view (Fedélzeti nézet, VezBusz+): full-screen map that follows the vehicle, next stop, distance left, arrival with delay, speed, portrait and landscape
- Push notifications for BKK disruptions (detours, cancelled services) at your favorite stops
- Trip statistics (Utazási statisztikák, VezBusz+): number of trips, kilometres measured along the route, CO₂ saved, top lines and stops, most ridden vehicles
- Route planner (beta): from your GPS position to a destination stop, leaving now
- Cloud sync with a Google account: favorites, routines, trip history and recent searches
- Light/dark theme with Material You dynamic colour; launcher icon variants (VezBusz+)
